Show people what you're feeling.  The shorthand is ":".

"emote <string>" will display your name, then the string.  For example,
if your name is "Quifael",

> emote is feeling very sad today.
will display:
Quifael is feeling very sad today.

> : puts a hand over his eyes and looks at the sky.
will display:
Quifael puts a hand over his eyes and looks at the sky.
